Story

This artwork draws from a deeply contemplative portion of Surah Yaseen, where Allah recounts the fate of past nations who rejected their messengers and warns of the consequences of heedlessness. The verses reflect on signs all around us — the revival of the dead earth, the gardens, springs, and fruits we consume, none of which we created ourselves. Through symbolic imagery, the artwork captures the divine harmony of creation: the paired nature of all things, the cycles of night and day, the precise orbit of the sun and moon. The artwork also evokes the story of salvation — from the vessel that carried humanity to safety, to the continuous mercy of Allah that sustains life. It reminds the viewer of human fragility, divine order, and the mercy that shields us from destruction.
