Story

In this piece, Surah al-Fatihah unfolds in a perfect circle, orbiting around the Divine Name "Allah" at the centre, also written in a circular rhythm. The space between the central Name and the surrounding verses forms a delicate web of patterns, suggesting our covenant in the Surah itself—to worship none but Him and to seek help only from our Lord. Around this core of calligraphy, flowers and birds appear like a living tasbih, symbols of creation constantly engaged in praising their Creator. Interwoven within the design are some of the Beautiful Names of Allah, rendered in fine calligraphy so that the entire composition becomes a visual dhikr: the Opening chapter of the Qur'an radiating outwards from the Name of Allah, surrounded by a garden of forms in continuous worship.
