Story

Baab Al-Dhikr (The Door of Remembrance) explores the idea of remembrance of Allah as a spiritual doorway. The architectural form at the centre invites the viewer to imagine crossing from the distractions and complexities of the outer world into an inner space shaped by reflection, prayer and awareness of the Divine. Intricately hand-cut Arabic calligraphy, organic forms and repeating patterns flow across the composition, creating a visual rhythm reminiscent of continuous dhikr. The doorway becomes more than an architectural element: it symbolises an invitation. Through remembrance, the heart turns towards Allah, and what may initially appear as a dense landscape of words and forms gradually becomes a place of contemplation, connection and peace.
